Simple to install and easier to use and maintain, entrance alerts are a must for any business. Whether you are a retail store, a warehouse, or other commercial facility, entrance alarms will alert management and employees when someone has entered your facility. The obviouse use is as a security product but many organizations will use the product as a customer service tool. When employees here someone has entered the store the alert notifies them to come to the front to great them. At our office, the alert system notifies us when the Fedex or UPS delivery truck pulls up to the dock door.
The RCTD-20U is a wireless entrance alert, driveway alarm system by Optex. The RCTD-20U consists for two components, the Sensor (TD-20U) and the receiver (RC-20U). The transmitter is a wireless passive infrared sensor that's easy to mount, is waterproof (IP54 rating), and features a u
nique swivel head that allows you to easily adjust the detection patter from a 50ft long range pattern or a 17th foot wide detection pattern. This allows the same sensor to be used for a variety of applications such as an entrance alert (see photo) or a driveway alarm. The sensor operates on a 9Volt battery with an expected battery life of up to 2 years. . When motion is detected within the detection zone, the wireless transmitters sends a RF signal to the receiver.
The chime receiver (RC-20U) will accept transmissions from 9 different Optex transmitter products and operates on a 9V DC adapter (included) and may be wall or table mounted. The wireless receiver features a "Form C" relay allowing easy integration with other devices such as a surveillance camera, siren, strobe light, etc.
The OPTEX Wireless 2000 annunciator system also features add-on products such as wireless door or window contacts, push buttons, range extenders, as well the ability to add additional sensors and receivers covering more areas to monitor or a larger listening range.
