The HS4317D has three operational modes (chime, instant, delayed alarm) you would set at the unit depending on needs.   Mounting the HS4317D does not require an electrician.  The magnetic sensor may be installed on either side of the main unit to provide more versatility.  The four digit security code may be changed per your discretion to any of the 4,096 variations available.
